Unisex Orange and Blue Sock

Our smocks are made from handwoven materials in Northern Ghana, then sewn with attention to detail.

They are detailed with Adinkra symbols, used by the Akan tribes (including the Ashanti or Asante), to recount proverbs or stories. Mama has a post about them on her blog if you'd like to learn more.

These are sometimes referred to as dashikis (originally danshiki in the Yoruba language, meaning shirt); but in Ghana they are known as smock, fugu or datakari, depending on the region.

This one can be worn by men or women. We recommend machine washing on delicate cycle (or hand washing) and line dry for best results.
